Capsule review: Mike Donovan - How to get your record played in shops (2018)

Broken fragments of a melody spiral into the abyss. This is lo-fi music over the edge. Yet it casts a spell. And when it briefly coheres despite itself ('4 armed star', 'Spiral tee shirt', 'Cold shine'), it breaks your heart. Nearly unlistenable, seriously, and I can't stop.
