I'll have to check my turntable. It's been a long while since it played 45 RPMth singles. Either it's playing too slow or the Jicks slowed this riff way down for the studio version. Strangely the vocals don't sound slowed down, so it may be the second possibility.

I'm not complaining – a leisurely pace is just right to fully appreciate this ZZ Top on weed riff. I don't think Stephen will ever reach the stoner rock nirvana he's been angling at throughout the solo years (not intense enough). That suits me fine. I like this weedy, choogling but amiable sound better.

C'mon Jicks, this one sounds great live!
