Capsule review: Górecki / Beth Gibbons - Symphony of sorrowful songs (2019)


Symphonies sound like architecture to me. Large, empty halls, domes, naves. This one is a building that stands alone at the end of time, after mankind's passing, unable to crumble. Sorrow stronger than erosion. Gibbons mourns the human folly - it's what she does. I believe her.
