Capsule review: Dionne Warwick - Anyone who had a heart (1964)

Quality control was an endangered species at Scepter Records. Product maximalisation was where it's at on Dionne's second album. 12 tracks: 7 Bacharach-David, 5 others ('Oh Lord what are you doing to me' is surprisingly fine). 7 Bacharach-David tracks: 3 held over from the first album, 4 new (welcome surprise 'Any old time of day'). There's always the chance your heart stops at the title track and all this math adds up to nothing.
